Peter Jones Foundation

The PJF was founded in 2005 by successful entrepreneur and star of Dragons’ Den, with one ambition: to equip young people, of every background, with the skills and experiences that they need to succeed, regardless of the challenges that they face in life.

To date, the Peter Jones Foundation has worked with over 700 schools, providing resources, mentoring and funding to allow over 12,000 students to start their first business. We have also supported over 4,500 students to secure a recognised qualification in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship through our pioneering GCSE, A Level and BTEC courses.

We believe all young people deserve a brighter future and the Foundation helps them reach their potential through a range of pioneering educational activities that encourage, educate and empower students, at all times championing entrepreneurship.

ENCOURAGE

We encourage students to start and run their first businesses through our free enterprise competition, Tycoon. We provide a risk-free start-up loan of up to £3,000 and a suite of innovative resources to set student-led teams on a path to success.

EDUCATE

We educate students through our suite of accredited courses and qualifications in Business, Enterprise and Entrepreneurship, developed with the awarding body Pearson, at Level 2 and Level 3. Additionally, we also offer an A level and a GCSE in Business to school providers.

EMPOWER

We empower all our graduates by supporting them into one of three successful pathways; starting a business (with access to start-up funding), securing employment or securing a university place

There is no greater place to see the impact of our work than at our annual celebration of entrepreneurship, EntFest. The festival has become the cornerstone of our movement to create a more enterprising culture.
